A Gentle Boundary
Menthol Elf supports family conversations and everyday emotional literacy. It is not therapy, counselling, crisis support, safeguarding advice, or a replacement for professional help where a child needs additional support.
Using Menthol Elf At Home
Home resources are for small, repeatable moments: a bedtime question, a calm corner prompt, a drawing after a hard day, or a shared story when a child is ready to talk. They are designed to help families make emotional language feel warm and ordinary.
The activities do not ask children to perform calm or explain everything perfectly. Instead, they give adults a gentle way to notice feelings with a child, offer reassurance, and practise one simple strategy such as breathing, pausing, naming, choosing a helper, or trying again.
Families can return to the same story places and characters whenever they need them. Familiar prompts can make it easier for children to say, "I feel like I am in Worry Woods," or "I need a Breathing Burrow moment," without needing a long explanation first.
